Our Club is a USA Archery based program. We require all volunteers to be members of USA Archery and complete USA Archery "Range Pass" requirements. This includes a background check and safe sport training as a minimum. Our Club will train volunteers to aid in range safety monitoring, and other club volunteer duties.
Coaches are required to complete USA Archery Instructor/Coach training and maintain certification.
Pearland Archery Club Instructors/Coaches are required to be approved by the Board of Directors to Lead Club Programs.
Our club holds lines in the evenings, during the week. How many nights and how many lines is determined by participants and availability of volunteer coaches/volunteers. Currently (Fall/2022) we are holding lines on Tues, Wed, Thurs and every other Friday. As demand grows we add line times to each night, and can expand to available days as necessary.
We schedule sessions to be 12-14 weeks in duration. We schedule them loosely around the Pearland ISD School calendar, observing all Holidays.
Explore! Beginner Archery has no prerequisite to participate. Only the 8 year old age limit applies.
JOAD/AAP require USA Archery membership and participation in our Explore! Archery Beginner class.
For Adults and archers transferring from other USA Archery or other Archery Organizations, our head coach can approve participation. A safety orientation and equipment inspection is required.
Participants are required to "associate" with Pearland Archery Club on USA Archery membership site.
Explore! Beginner archery is held in 6 week sessions, 1 night per week, for 1.25 hours per night.
It is normally held on Wednesdays at 6pm start.
The minimum age for participation is 8 years old. Safety and coach/participant ratio are priority for our programs. At this time we cannot offer archery to anyone under 8.
Our range is NOT open to the public. We do not operate an Archery Pro Shop or Retail Sales.
Our Range is located in a shared facility with many other sports organizations.
Our programs are subject to the facility schedule.
Registration is linked from our main website to Team Snap. Participants are required to sign up through Team Snap. Team Snap is used for all club registrations, team communications and scheduling.
Yes! Parents, Family and other adults are welcome to participate in beginner archery sessions (if you have no archery experience). After adults have either participated in the beginner session or proven shooting/safety competency, they may join the club and sign up for any of the club shooting sessions.
