Our Program information
schedules / days & times
- Archery Sessions are held in the Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer
- Summer sessions are limited by volunteer availability.
- Explore! Archery is offered 2 times per session (6 week duration for each)
- JOAD/AAP Archery is offered once per Session (12-14 week duration)
- Our programs run Monday thru Thursday in the evenings. (6pm to 9pm)
- Special/Additional archery times/days are added when facility/volunteers are available.
explore! archery program
- For first time archery experience and learning the basics of target archery
- For ages 8 and up, Adults are welcome too!
- All equipment is supplied
- 6 week course - 1 night per week - 1 hour long
- No membership requirement
- Registrations open 2-3 weeks prior to Session Start time
- We try to offer Explore! Archery on 2 days of the week @ night, 6pm start time.
- Led by certified USA Archery Instructors/Coaches.
JOAD (Junior olympic archery development) & AAP (Adult archery)
- For beginning, intermediate and advanced archers.
- For ages 8 and up, youth and adults.
- Participants advance at their own pace, with group instructor guidance.
- Participant may shoot with their own equipment (must be inspected by coach)
- Club Equipment available for use at no additional cost.
- 12-14 week duration - 1 night per week - 1 hour 20 minutes long
- JOAD/AAP is offered Monday thru Thursday 1 line per night (sometimes we have 2 lines a night)
- Registrations are held by Session or when spots are available.
- USA ARCHERY MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED ($45/YEAR YOUTH - $65/YEAR ADULT)
- Participants MUST either have completed Explore! Archery or be approved by Head Coach. If transferring from another club or have prior target archery experience, our head coach can approve you to participate in JOAD/AAP.
- Archers may participate in the USA Archery Achievement Award Program.
- Archers may participate in additional club shoots/events and competitions.
- Archers will make new friends and have a LOT of fun!
group / scout / try archery sessions
- Offered as facility and volunteers are available.
- Customized experience depending on size of group and ages of participants.
- Can be 2hrs, half a day, or multi day.
- All Equipment is supplied.
- Generally scheduled on available Friday Evenings, Saturdays and Sundays
- Cost ranges from $20-$30 / 2 hours, per participant, depending on size of group.
Competition team
- Open to all members wanting to expand their archery experience through competitions.
- Archers represent Pearland Arcehry Club at Local, State and National events.
- Archers will dedicate more time to practice and to the club.
- Archers will be role models for younger archers who are learning the basics.
- Archers will participate in Community out reach programs to exhibit archery to others.
certifications - Background Screening - safe sport certification
All Pearland Archery Club staff, coaches and instructors are certified by USA Archery, background screened by USA Archery and complete Center for Safe Sport training annually.
